Patrick Evan's Background :
San Francisco --------------- Stylist
Patrick Evan of Patrick Evan Salon specializes
in the Japanese hair straightening system, Thermal Reconditioning, offering
San Francisco curlytops a chance for strong, soft, silky, straight hair. Patrick
has been doing Thermal Reconditioning for over 5 years and currently
performs three treatments a day, five days a week. He has received extensive
advanced
training from the inventors of Thermal Reconditioning- the revolutionary Japanese
company -YUKO SYSTEM. He has trained in Beverly Hills, San Francisco and recently
in Tokyo, Japan.
Patrick's work has been featured in interntional magazines such as Woman's
Day, Zink and Beauty news NYC. He was recently voted San Francisco's
premier Thermal Reconditioning specialist by Allure Magazine.
Patrick Evan began his education
at Universal Beauty Academy at the young age of 17.
After graduating, Patrick next attained his unique cutting method from world
famous haircut
specialist Yosh Toya at the YOSH salon on Maiden Lane in San Francisco.
Upon completing his advanced training
at Yosh, Patrick decided to join forces
with Lew Gallo Salon. Lew Gallo salon was involved in lots of fashion and
hair shows
as well as photo sessions, which interested and inspired Patrick. At Lew Gallo,
he
further refined his cutting skills and also became well versed in the art
of styling hair.
Patrick soon became a member of the International Artistic Design Team for
KMS Hair care.
By the age of 21, Patrick was traveling
across the country for KMS as a
platform artist teaching up-do's and styling techniques to as many as
1,200 hairstylists per class. Patrick worked with Lew Gallo for about two
years.
Lew Gallo closed. Patrick then
decided to become an independent contractor
and work for himself by renting a chair at a salon close by, but continued
to contribute
his artistic abilities in many fashion shows, events and fundraisers. His
clientele grew
rapidly and he found his energy shifting to working with the clients he had
built.
Patrick has contributed his work in many fashion shows including the following:
as
well as too many nightclub fashion shows
and other charity events to list.
Five years
ago, Patrick discovered a new technique that creates beautiful straight
hair called Thermal Reconditioning. At the time, no one really knew about
it and most of
his colleagues didn't believe it would do what it claimed it could. Patrick
was intrigued and
curious so immediately following a hair show in Los Angeles, he flew back
to Beverly Hills
and attended training on Thermal Reconditioning.( this was the first large
scale
demonstration that Yuko systems had ever thought ). He was absolutely blown
away
by the stunning, beautiful results of this product that he purchased everything
they had for
sale and when he got back to San Francisco, he began experimenting with the
product
everyday until he became very competent.
Patrick traveled back to Yuko's
headquarters many, many times to attend advanced
classes in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Patrick was the first person to
travel to the
main headquarters in Tokyo, Japan for a one-on-one special intensive training
course.
Patrick Evan has become the an authority on the art of Thermal Reconditioning.
Patrick now dedicates all his time
and energy to Thermal Reconditioning.
He works on almost all hair types, and has never been so impressed with a
service like Thermal Reconditioning." Now I can create hairstyles for
clients that were previously impossible. Suddenly, almost every straight hair
look in any magazine is possible to achieve. I have encountered clients that
were used to the same boring haircuts for years because changing would require
too much maintenance and usually would be very difficult for the client to
achieve
the look herself. They would also have to worry about things like their hair
becoming
too big or difficult to blow dry".
"Even hard to control, damaged
hair can become shiny, soft, wash-and-wear hair
and I am thrilled to offer that to clients," explains Patrick. "
I have never seen a hair
treatment that truly changes the lives of those who get it done. It is a wonderful
feeling
to make my clients so happy and free them from their hair. They no longer
have to
worry about the rain, humidity, fog, working out, going to the beach, going
dancing,
and so many other things most of us don't think about.
After 14 years in the professional
beauty industry, Patrick has found his true passion
in the art of Thermal Reconditioning. His mission for the future is to continue
on his
pathway to mastership of Thermal Reconditioning and dedicate himself a s an
instructor,
helping other stylists learn this incredible process.
Patrick's work was recently featured
in the February edition of Woman's Day magazine
in an article on Thermal Reconditioning. Click

Client Testimonials:
About ten months ago, the hair
on the crown of my head was breaking off even though
I wasn't damaging it-it was just dry and frizzy and wouldn't grow. After I
had thermal
reconditioning done, my hair simply stopped breaking. I just had the re growth
done again
by Patrick and after he trimmed the ends, my hair is really close to being
all one length for
the first time in years. Also I have noticed that the gray in my hair is much
less noticeable
now that the frizz is gone. I love the silky texture and easy upkeep as well
as the shiny
appearance of my hair. This is definitely something I will keep doing.

I first heard about the Yuko System
(Thermal Reconditioning) in a magazine and didn't
have much faith in the article's claims of "perfectly straight and healthy
hair" . Patrick was
wonderful enough to do a consultation and patch test, I really appreciate
that he took the
time to do that. My first appt. was soon booked and just in time to have straight,
frizz
free hair for a trip to Mexico. The trip was definitely a true test. Despite
very humid weather,
my normally very fine and frizz prone hair, stayed sleek, soft and straight.
The treatment
lasted for a good 5 months, I actually could have gone longer and it really
grew out nicely,
no damageat all. Patrick's service is now in my annual budget!

Patrick,
It's been 3 weeks since you performed the "miracle" on my hair.
I cannot tell you enough,
thank you, thank you!! I now have the hair I have always dreamed of. It's
so straight, soft
and shiny. The first thing I do when I wake up is run my fingers through it
and check the
mirror to make sure it's not a dream. I feel like a normal person, not having
to spend hours
on my hair and worrying about the weather. It's so easy to maintain. Hardly
any blow drying
at all. I don't even have to blow dry it, but sometimes I need a little change.
I don't know
what to do with all of my brushes and straightening products now. We just
came back from
Hawaii, where it was hot and humid. My hair was still straight after swimming
and driving in
the convertible. I am sure you are quite busy performing miracles on other
curly heads these
days. I just had to share my happiness and tell you how gifted and talented
you are. I wish
I had discovered this, and you sooner. I look forward to seeing you again
for a touch-up.
Thanks again!
Lori, San Francisco
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Patrick!!! Your Expertise at
Thermal Reconditioning hasfreed me from slavery to my hair.
I am finally free!
Thanks Again!

Dear Patrick,
I just want to tell you again how much easier my life is after
TR. I can't hardly believe how my naturally curly frizzy and
thick hair look nowadays. It is straight, soft and so much more
manageable. Sure, I still have to style it, but TR saves me so
much time, not mentioning frustration, that I really think it
is worth the money I pay for it.
I recommend it for people with my hair type, only advising them
to do their homework and go to an expert like yourself.

Last month, while home sick with
a cold, I was lying in bed watching Oprah. On that
particular day, the show's theme was "If You Could Change Just One Thing,
What
Would it Be? Until then, I'd never heard of Thermal Reconditioning (TR), much
less the
Yuko System. Had I overheard those terms at a cocktail party, I would have
figured they
pertained to Yoko Ono doing a performance piece about insulation or storm
windows
while wearing a pair of waffle-weave long johns. But lo! and behold, TR was
the answer
to the prayer I'd all but given up on. Fuzzy-headed women disappeared behind
a curtain,
were whisked to a salon, and emerged, several hours later, sleek as otters
- their most
fervent wish fulfilled.
Dragging myself from my sickbed,
I turned on my laptop and ordered Google.com to give
me all it had on TR - especially in San Francisco. God bless the Internet!
Straightaway,
I landed on the TR website. That's where I first read about Patrick Evan,
clearly the Guru of Yuko.
When I went in for my consultation
with him, he inspected my hair thoughtfully, then deemed
it healthy and strong - a good candidate for thermal reconditioning. He pointed
to a woman
in a chair by the window. She had the most beautiful, glossy, pin-straight
mane I'd ever seen.
"You should have seen her a few hours ago," he grinned. "So
curly, you couldn't drag a comb
through it." I was slack-jawed. We made an appointment for the following
week.
People talk about life-altering
experiences - events that profoundly change one's perspective
forever. I've had a few of those in my time, and yes, indeed, they can be
powerfully soul-shaking. Although it embarrasses me to admit that being TR'd
was one of those for me, the fact of the matter
is, it's true. Inside this curly-headed woman, a straight-haired woman had
been struggling to
get out for a very long time. Those who share this peculiar phenomenon will
understand
what I'm trying to say here.
Obviously, when embarking on such
an important journey, it's essential that you get yourself
into the hands of a master. Clearly, this is not a treatment to take lightly,
so do not "shop
the process" for low bidders. A lot of "gone bad" TR's are
out there, most likely done by
newbies, i.e. those who lack sufficient training, experience, and expertise
to take you through the
transformation successfully. To me, it makes sense to go straight to the man
who does TR
(and nothing but TR!) all day, every day. I say this not just because he's
the best from a
technical point of view, but also because he truly understands the psychology
of changing
from a fuzz head to a smoothie. His gentleness, his candor, his humor, his
grace are all part
of his artistry; they amplify his gift. And, indeed, it is a special gift
he gives. When you leave
his salon to return to your world, the bonds of your curls may be broken forever,
but it's
doubtful your gratitude to Patrick Evan will ever be forgotten.
Oh, I almost forgot ... You are
probably wondering about my hair - how it looks now. Well,
let me say this: People say I look ten years younger. I agree. I look as good
the morning after
as I did the night before. Bad hair days are gone forever. And as for the
pleasure of feeling the
wind ripple through these touchable, shining, silken tresses, there are no
words to describe how
lovely that feels except, once again, to say - thank you, Patrick - for making
a lifelong wish come true.

I just had mone done by Patrick Evans today! I absolutely love it -- and my
hair was REALLY
curly -- it is now so straight and silky. I met with Joseph at Toshi, too,
but just had a better
feeling about Patrick. I am so glad I went with my gut. It is so clear that
he really knows what
he is doing -- and Lindsay was his assistant -- and she was amazing -- got
every piece straight
and shiny! To top it all off, they were fun and supportive! Run...do not walk...to
55 Grant Street!
Tammy, Modesto
I love my Yuko & thank you
very much.
I have never known my hair to be so trouble-free!
All thanks again
Gail, San Francisco
Although I wanted to have thermal
reconditioning done for a long time I
kept putting it off because I was afraid of damaging my hair. I have
hip length hair and after all it would take a very long time to regrow
it. I talked to several other stylists but just didn't feel confident
about their experience levels and decided to forgo having it done until
I read about Patrick on the salon boards. All of his customers had good
things to say and they were right. Patrick is very experienced and it
shows. He makes sure your hair reaches absolute perfection before you
leave the salon and he even follows up with you afterwards. I had
never come across a hairstylist who responds to phone calls and emails
the way Patrick does. He answered every little question I came up with
and always responded right away. Most importantly, I am in love with
my hair! It is really amazing. I get constant compliments everywhere I
go. People just can't believe how shiny it is. The first time I washed
it I half expected it to wash right out but with almost no time or
effort it sprang right into place. In short, Patrick is a hair god!
Thank you, Patrick!!

Hi Patrick,
I woke up this morning and still couldn't believe my hair was real.
Thank you again for the metamorphosis!
Andrea, Redwood Shores
Hello! I just wanted to post my testimonial -- over the past year I have had
two Thermal
Reconditioning Treatments done to my hair & I can honestly say it has
changed my life!
Yes, it's very expensive, which is hard for me since I'm not the wealthiest
person. But, I
think that would be the only drawback. This summer I had to go to Dubai, UAE
for my
engagement ceremony -- this is one of the most humid places in the world (or
at least, it
felt like it!). I was so nervous that my hair would look horrible -- usually
in humidity it looks
like a frizz ball. I had my thermal reconditioning appointment two weeks before
flying to the
Emirates for the ceremony ... after having the thermal reconditioning done,
my hair was
beautifully straight for the ceremony (and afterwards)!!! My in-laws even
commented on
how shiny & silky my hair was. My fiancé was really supportive
about me getting this treatment
-- we live together and he felt bad for me because I used to spend 30 minutes
a day blow
drying my hair straight. Now, I only spend about 5-10 min. a day on my hair.
Often, I can
just wash my hair and walk out the door without doing a thing. I'm so grateful
for this product
-- it's really wonderful. I just want to add that I had my Thermal Reconditioning
done by
Patrick Evan , & I highly recommend him -- the first time I had it done
I was so
nervous and he patiently spoke to me many times to allay my fears.
Also, he's a real perfectionist (so I feel like my hair is in good hands :-)
I highly recommend this service to anyone who is tired of dealing with their curly or unruly hair!
Beth, San Francisco
The Ultimate test for me was a
recent trip to Chicago.
The August rain came with wind and humidity.
My hair looked great the entire time.

Patrick:
although my mother always told
me that a thank you should be handwritten,
I would be remiss to wait any longer to tell you how happy I am with my hair.
I have been traveling nonstop (work,
no play) since I saw you last month,
and now I am finally home for a few weeks.
I am extremely satisfied with the
results of your time, attention and finesse in processing my
hair. I was religious about not getting it wet for that 72 hour period and
have not put any
"holdbacks" in it at all. I did purchase the shampoo and conditioner
products and have
been using them.
I have received numerous compliments
on the texture and overall condition of my
hair--thanks again to you and your meticulous attention to detail.
I hope all is well in San Francisco. I look forward to seeing you again
early spring.
Suzanne, NJ
Hi Patrick,
I wanted to let you know how much
I love my hair. Thermal reconditioning has made my
life so much easier- it now takes me 5 minutes to do my hair as opposed to
45 minutes.
I used to spend countless hours per week blow-drying and pulling my hair-
all of that is
eliminated from my life! My hair looks and feels healthier as well.
You are a miracle worker. Thank you!!!
